Savage Garden's Darren Hayes is to record a solo album. "As a band, we're going to take a break for a few years. I've pretty much got a record, writing-wise, in the can." Hayes said. "I'm going to put out a solo record next year. I can't wait to get into the studio... around February." Hayes, who will record the album in Britain, is "interested in electronic and ambient music; acoustic with an electronic atmostphere".
