Darren Hayes does Party In the Park

After 5 years, London's Party in the Park is turning into an essential event on the social calendar. Over the weekend, 100,000 people turned out for the gig despite the rain.
This years line-up featured headliner Bryan Adams as well as Natalie Imbruglia, Will Young, Atomic Kitten, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Michelle Branch, Darren Hayes, Westlife, Shakira, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Beverley Knight, Lighthouse Family, Wyclef Jean, Liberty X, Blue and Shaggy.
Blue won the entrance of the year award abseiling onto the stage to perform their hit All Rise but just as their sail started the heavens opened up and poured down on them.
The Party In The Park raises money for the Princes Trust, a charity set up by Prince Charles to help young people who were facing obstacles to realizing their potential. The charter of the trust is to "work with 14 to 30 year olds who face disadvantage - offering them the support, encouragement and basic financial assistance they need to achieve their goals".
The organisers hope to raise £1m for the charity.

Darren will be touring in Europe in October after the UK leg of the tour. At this stage he will perfprm shows in Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
