if's perfect blend

Singer-songwriter Darren Hayes, of Savage Garden fame, is rumoured to have chosen if coffee shop in Fortitude Valley to feature in his next music video. The film crew reportedly took over Brunswick St last night to capture the necessary footage to blend music with music.

Editors Note: It has been confirmed that Darren did shoot some scenes for the new I Miss You video at the if coffee shop. This video is now completed and was produced by Grant Marshall (who also did the Crush video).

I Miss You is set for release in the UK on October 28th, no tracklisting is available yet. It is also the next single for Australia and the US (although release dates for radio and retail are as yet unknown).

New Live Concert Wallpaper
Posted Saturday, September 21, 2002 by Darv

Another new Live Concert Wallpaper has been madeup, from the First Sydney Concert. I decided against added the name of the concert, to retain the intimacy of the wallpaper. Enjoy! I will upload the image as 800x600 in the morning, or feel free to download it and resize it yourself, if you cannot use the higher resolution image.
1024x768

We were also lucky enough to recieve some extra wallpaper via email tonight. The wallpaper consists of a collage of pictures from the Tour book! So if you don't want to see the tour book photos, I do not recommend clicking. If you do however, wish to have Darren grace your desktop, then why haven't you clicked the links already?!?!
A really big thankyou goes out to MissRoseDarrensAngel from the Darren Hayes Official Message Board, for sending these out.

I was shocked to see today, that recent photos from this website had made there way to being sold on EBAY.COM. Instantly I emailed EBay, and it seems the auction has been withdrawn, I also too emailed the seller, and have since heard no reply. We post the photos up here for the enjoyment of fans all around the world. We have also tried to keep tagging to a minimum, as to not take away from the overall image quality.

We will be monitoring sites such as EBAY over some time. If this trend continues we will be forced to tag our photos. We do not mind you using these photos for your personal use. But they MUST NOT be sold without the express permission of the photographer.

NEWCASTLE, WOLLONGONG & CANBERRA CONCERTS CANCELLED
Posted Tuesday, September 3, 2002 by lssilver

Darren Hayes commenced his world tour on Saturday night with a stunning Melbourne performance that drew standing ovations from the large and extremely enthusiastic audience.

Unfortunately Hayes has now been diagnosed as suffering from a viral illness and is under medical advice that will prevent him from performing for one week.

Despite intensive efforts to rearrange the tour itinerary it has not been possible to reschedule the concerts in Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra due to the lack of any suitable alternate dates at these venues prior to the start of Hayes overseas touring commitments.

These concerts have now been cancelled, with apologies for the disappointment to all ticket holders – ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase from Wednesday, September 4.

The two Sydney concerts at the Enmore Theatre have been postponed for one week:

- the performance on Monday, September 2 will now take place on Monday, September 9
- the performance on Tuesday, September 3 will now take place on Tuesday, September 10

The Melbourne concert at The Forum has now been rescheduled for Thursday, 12 September.

Tickets purchased for the original performance dates will be valid only for the rescheduled date indicated above and do not need to be exchanged.

The Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth concerts will go ahead as scheduled and tickets remain on sale for these performances:

Saturday 07-Sep BRISBANE CONVENTION CENTRE
Friday 13-Sep ADELAIDE THEBARTON THEATRE
Sunday 15-Sep PERTH BURSWOOD THEATRE

Darren Hayes and MCP regret the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the need to cancel or reschedule these concerts, which has been unavoidable.

Ticket holders should contact their place of purchase for more information refunds and the cancellations.

Warringah Mall Instore - Sunday 1st September
Posted Monday, September 2, 2002 by Darv

Darren was scheduled to show up and perform hits from his Album at 1pm on Sunday. Due to a viral infection, he was unable to sing, infact, unable to talk.
Although he was terribly ill, Darren still managed to show up and take photos, meet with fans and even sign CDs. The catch? He couldn't talk to you!

All in all, the day was great fun! Darren spent a good hour or so on stage signing, meeting and posing. It was amazing to see him show up when he was sick, and the fans were extremely happy and grateful that he did.

Of course, we were there to take photos for you!

A big thank you goes out to Darren, for showing up. We wish him well.

Click here for the pictures of the day.

Note - If you are having difficulty viewing the photos, please wait and then refresh the gallery. Thankyou.

Webmasters Note: I have made some changes behind the scenes so hopefully there will be no more problems viewing the images :)

Sydney and Newcastle Shows
Posted Sunday, September 1, 2002 by lssilver

From DarrenHayesMusic.com (Fanclub):

This news is not official yet but we thought that you should know that Darren is under Doctors orders to rest his voice completely for a few days as he has contracted viral laryngitis. This means unfortunately that both Sydney Concerts and the Newcastle Concert have to be postponed until further notice. We will post an official statement when it is available to us.
