Former Savage Garden founder Daniel Jones is actively working on a forthcoming album for new act Wish.
Wish is the first local signing to Michael Matthews and Bill Kio's new label Lincoln Road. The pair formerly managed the business of Killing Heidi.
Wish is Melbourne singer/guitarist and songwriter Peter Freebairn.
"It's not often that I see the same innocence and purity of songwriting that helped me with my career. These songs could easily be a 'trigger point' that will hold you at the first listen & then become a soundtrack to your life. The emotion is real & that's needed in a world that tries to cover what we really feel. This is truly an international recording".
Jones has gathered many of Brisbane's finest to perform on the Wish debut. Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton is expected to contribute.
Lincoln Road will license the album through a major label when it is complete and are giving interested A&R managers a chance to hear the work to date from October 25 in Brisbane.
A&R people interested in hearing the project can contract Michael Matthews on 0418 536 637 or email michael@lincolnroadent.com.
Jones will also be spreading the Wish word at the ARIA's this weekend.
